The Rock Creek Climbing Kiln The kiln we are building was inspired in part by an article in The Studio Potter magazine (December 1993).
This particular kiln was designed by Will Ruggles and Douglas Ranklin to be used at Penland School in North Carolina. Permission to reproduce these (copywrite) plans was graciously given by Gerry Williams the Editor of The Studio Potter. The original computer drawings which we scanned were done by Peg Udall. We are grateful for their permission and for their inspiring story of building the Penland kiln. [ BACK ]
